The following are some frequently asked questions, in all cases, please refer to the By-Laws for official rules and details. Q: What kind of window coverings am I permitted to have? A: Any window covering visible from the exterior of the strata lot, must not deviate in size or color from those of the original building specification (i.e. cream/beige, white). Q: Can I install a satellite dish? A: lndividual freestanding satellite dishes are permitted at Grandview & Parkview Courts, but are limited in size to a diameter of 14 inches. Satellite dishes must not be affixed in any way to the exterior of the building or project above balcony railings. Q; Can I renovate parts of my home? A: You are free to renovate the inside of your unit as long as you adhere to the established noise/construction bylaws. Changes to original flooring also require approval. Please refer to By-Laws for specifics. lt is recommended that when planning renovations, you discuss contemplated changes with the Property Manager early in advance, so that he may advise you adequately about necessary approvals or other considerations. Q: Why do I have condensation on the inside of my windows? A: Excessive moisture in your suite poses a serious problem due to unseen mold, and damage to the walls and structure. Always use the ventilation fans when cooking, bathing or showering and avoid air drying large amounts of laundry in your unit. Always keep your "Humidistat" set to atleast "50". Q: When is access to my suite requested? A: Access to your suite will be requested at different times throughout the year for such items as dryer duct cleaning or fire safety / smoke alarm inspections. Please be available, or have someone available to provide access for these services. lf you (or your designate) are not going to be available at the requested time, you may arrange to leave a key with the caretakers. lt is to the benefit of owners and tenants to have these services performed. Notices will be posted. |
